CBC Executive Board
Meeting Minutes
August 4, 2004
1 Attendance
The meeting was held at China Lee at
6:30 p.m. In attendance were Daisy Blanton, Amy French, Steve Strain, Tom
Ingledew, Jim Johnson, George Perry, David Blackwell, David Ward, and Emory
Frye.
2 Business
The meeting was called to order by
Steve Strain, President.
Minutes from the June Board Meeting
were reviewed and approved.
There was no old business to discuss.
Privacy Issues
Under New
Business, Tom Ingledew brought to the attention of the Board a complaint from a
new member regarding the publication of name, address, and phone number in the
Tailwind. It was decided that in the future new members will be allowed
to specify whether or not they want their personal information published via a
check-mark box on the application. Additionally, all members will be notified
via the Tailwind in advance of the publication of the Club Directory and
be given the opportunity to have their personal information deleted.
Events Report
A report
by David Ward was given regarding the upcoming Sequatchie Valley Century. The
event will be held on October 2, 2004. Flyers will be mailed in the near
future. Emory Frye presented the proposed T-shirt design, which was unanimously
approved. David also gave a brief update on the 2005 3 State 3 Mountain event,
to be held the first Saturday in May.
