2 Business
The meeting was called to order and
the minutes from the August Board Meeting were reviewed and approved.
Incline Bicycle Discount Tickets
The purchase of 50 Incline Tickets @
$3.00 each by CBC was approved. These will be offered to CBC members in an
effort to support the use of the commuter Bike racks.
Christmas Party in January/Annual Meeting
Options for the CBC Christmas Party/
Annual Meeting were discussed. The decision was made to hold the event at the
Warehouse of Randy Lawson on January 15, 2005. Resources for set-up and clean
up will be explored. The Board agreed to pay for these services (within
reason), as there are no charges for the use of this facility.
Nominating Committee
David Blackwell agreed to coordinate
the Nominating Committee. Suggestions were made for members who might be willing
to serve. David will contact them and coordinate this. Tentative plans are for
the Committee to have a roster of nominees by December, so the election may be
held at the Annual Meeting in January.
Bylaws Committee Report
The Bylaws committee gave a report.
Most recent edition of Bylaws was reviewed and prepared for Club vote at
November Club Meeting. Additional costs for 501c3 application were discussed
($625.00). The club will be asked to vote on approval of this expenditure.
It was made clear that additional
funds may be needed if 501C3 application is denied.
Incorporation has been filed;
response anticipated in 2-3 weeks.
The Club will be asked to approve the
expenditure of up to $200.00 for Surety (“Dishonesty Bond”) for the Treasurer.
A Time line for Implementation and
Transition for new Bylaws was established, with January 1, 2005 as Effective
Date.
Event Donation
David Ward requested $3000.00
donation be made to Marion County Food Bank (proceeds from Sequatchie Century).
Board Members also agreed to a $1000.00 donation to the Chattanooga Food Bank.
A Donation to Santa For All Seasons to purchase Bicycles for children in need
was suggested. These donations will be put before the membership at the club
meeting for approval.
December Meeting
The Board agreed to move the December
Club Meeting to December 13, instead of 3rd Monday of the month in
light of the holidays.
With no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
