It was proposed that a combined MTB & Road Bike Ride to be held at Bethel Bible with a BBQ to follow.

David Ward, Events Coordinator, was unable to attend the meeting. The planning of the 2005 3S-3M Challenge started last month with the City of Chattanooga and the Staybridge Hotel. The October 2nd. Fall Century (Sequatchie Valley) is currently being planned with various hotels being approached.

John Karr was present and discussed the Ride Against Cancer. It will be held on Aug. 21, 2004 at the Fire Station in Cohutta, GA.

Treasurer's Report

George Perry, Treasurer, presented a banking summary (1-1-04 thru 6-21-04). Income numbers, after expenses, allowed the board members to vote on the amount of monies to be given to various charities, fire departments and supporting organizations. George and the by-law committee are still working on the new CBC by-laws.

Ride Coordinator Report

Jim Johnson, Ride Coordinator, solicited meeting participants to volunteer as ride leaders.

Communications Report

Daisy Blanton, Communications Director, stated that the new CBC Forum is now active on the CBC website. This was established to give members an opportunity to communicate their opinions, concerns and ideas, etc. A new jersey design with socks included is being worked on by Emory Fry, graphic artist, with Dynamic Displays. The throw/afghan was displayed at the meeting and will be put on the web to view and purchase.

Pinky's Point

Tim Carlfeldt, SORBA, discussed Pinky’s Point. The county contract is currently being looked over and there are liability issues for the CBC. This is going to require further investigation. This is a joint venture between SORBA and the CBC. Tim will stay in contact with our president regarding this matter via email.

Membership Report

Tom Ingledew, Membership Coordinator, developed a new member welcome greeting letter. This email letter was displayed in the June tailwind on page 8.

No July Meeting

There will be no July CBC membership/board meeting. On August 16, 2004 there will be a combined CBC membership/board meeting.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
