CHATTANOOGA BICYCLE CLUB
TWO-FOR-ONE CENTURY INFORMATION
SEQUATCHIE VALLEY - Saturday, Oct 7, 2000
NORTH GEORGIA - Sunday, Oct 8, 2000
Two great centuries in one wekend!
Do both or either, one low entry fee!
The fully supported Sequatchie Valley Century will be
held on Saturday, October 7, 2000. It will be starting at the Marion County High School.
The ride will be fully sagged with sweep vehicles for each category and port-a-potties or
restrooms available at each sag stop as well as water, sport drink, fruit and other food.
Showers will be available at the school. Hopefully food will be provided after the ride
for a small fee as a fundraiser for the school. This century will offer three options: a
full century (100 miles +) with a significant mountain ascent, a metric century (62
miles +), and a quarter century (25 miles+). Enjoy the incomparable beauty
of Sequatchie Valley with all the amenities.
The unsagged North Georgia Century will be held on
Sunday, October 8, 2000. The ride that three decades of southern riders have come back for
will be through rolling rural northwest Georgia countryside. It will begin and end at
Lafayette High School. Again ride options will be for a full, metric or quarter century.
Only maps and route markings are provided for these rides; however, someone will be at the
school with a phone in case of any problems. Also water and any goodies from Saturday will
be there
The registration fee is $20 if postmarked by September 27, 2000; $25 thereafter
including the day of the ride. Do either or both of the centuries for one fee. The fee
includes a commemorative t-shirt - not guaranteed if the application is not postmarked by
9/27/00. There will be no reorders this year so register early to guarantee a
t-shirt.
Both centuries offer full (100 miles), metric (62 miles), and quarter (25 miles)
century options over well marked roads with a map and cue sheet for backup.
