The Ocoee Fat Tire Festival
hosted by the Chattanooga Bicycle Club,
the U.S. Forest Service, Ocoee-Hiwassee District,
and the Ocoee Whitewater Center
will be held in Polk County, TN, October 17-19, 2003.
Please note: The Chattanooga Bicycle Club will not be
hosting the Ocoee Fat Tire Festival in 2004. There will be another mountain
bike festival and race on Chilhowee Mountain in the fall of 2004. For more

Trail Maintenance Fund and West Polk Fire and Rescue.

This event will include:
- Guided rides all three days (from easy to extremely
challenging) on our trail system - including the Slickrock Trail, designated a National
Millennium Trail - and the trails at the Whitewater Center on Sunday. Check out the new Bill Rogers Slickrock
Connector.
- Various night rides for riders of all abilities
- MTB Games: Log Pull, Granny Gear Race, Huffy Toss, Boulder Hop
- Kids Race
- Commemorative T-shirt and Goody Bag
- Prizes and swag
- Continental Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday
- Pancake Cookoff Sunday
- Poker Run
- Some activities for young kids
- Mountain Bike Clinics
- Group camping in the field

the past this event has been given special privileges due to our commitment to the trails
and efforts to bring mountain biking to the area. Well progress is here and the Forest
Service is committed to making no exceptions and to treating all visitors to the area the
