Ocoee Fat Tire Festival
Date: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October
17-19, 2003 (rain or shine)
Time: Registration begins at 8:00am Saturday
Registration available 3:00 - 9:00 pm Friday night at the
camping field with time out for dinner.
Rides leave at 4:00pm Friday and at regularly scheduled times throughout Saturday and
Sunday.
Night rides at 8:00pm Friday and Saturday night.
Location: Chilhowee Recreation Area and Campground
on top of Chilhowee Mountain. Registration and festival site at the camping field below
the lower parking area.
Fee: $35.00 individual or 1st family member;
$20.00 spouse; $10.00 per child 8-16 (Includes 1 commemorative t-shirt (while supply
lasts) and 3 meals) - $5 discount and t-shirt guaranteed if postmarked by October
3, 2003
Registration will be available Friday at 3:00pm -
organized rides will be begin at 4:00pm and be scheduled at various times until Sunday
afternoon. Saturday, the rides will stay on Chilhowee Mountain so will be
near for the other activities. We expect some
stiff competition in the Boulder Hop
this year! Sunday, we will start the morning with the Pancake Cookoff
- we hope lots of you will participate. That will be followed by the
Poker Run and other organized rides including some at the Whitewater
Center. Or just enjoy your favorite trails from Saturday. Try the new skills you learned
at the mountain bike clinic Saturday.
There will be some special activities for
children.
The Mountain Bike Clinic:
teaching technical riding skills will be conducted while on a ride.
PANCAKE COOKOFF: Bring your favorite pancake
recipe, ingredients for pancakes for 10 people, and a stove. Butter, syrup, plates will be
provided - unless you have your own special syrup.
All riders will be required to wear helmets!
